About the Role

Agricarbon is seeking a highly skilled Senior Soil Carbon Scientist to join our team. As a key member of our technical team, you will play a critical role in advancing our understanding of soil carbon science and its application in agricultural systems.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Soil Carbon Research and Development: Conduct in-depth research on soil carbon science, including the development of new methods and approaches for monitoring change in soil carbon stocks at different scales.
  2. Client Project Support: Provide expert support to selected client projects, delivering high-quality insights and recommendations to inform their soil carbon management strategies.
  3. Public Engagement and Knowledge Sharing: Share your expertise through publications, presentations, and other public engagement activities, advancing the scientific understanding of soil carbon and its role in sustainable agriculture.
Requirements
  • Masters or PhD level qualifications in Soil Science or a closely related field.
  • Expertise in soil carbon science, with a strong understanding of agricultural systems.
  • Practical experience in field sampling and laboratory analysis of soil carbon.
  • Experience with statistical analyses and/or modeling to investigate soil carbon questions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
