Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Operations Manager to join our team at Polypipe Building Products. As a key member of our engineering services team, you will be responsible for coordinating, maintaining, and repairing plant equipment and machinery across our site, while supervising a team to achieve overall customer requirements and full compliance with Company and statutory regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, control, and prioritize all service activities to ensure seamless operations
  • Procure external services and spares to maintain equipment efficiency
  • Manage Contractors in delivering services onsite, ensuring full compliance with relevant Site safety rules
  • Identify and review training needs, maintaining staff competence and adhering to industry standards
  • Coordinate/support with breakdown diagnostics, repairs, and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime
  • Perform maintenance checks and remedial repairs in line with established processes
  • Manage the engineering stores, identifying gaps in criticality of provision
  • Contribute to the collection of data and generation of KPI reporting to inform business decisions
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management at all levels

Requirements:

  • ILM Level 3 in supervisory management or equivalent experience
  • Ability to diagnose faults on a wide range of engineering equipment, including electrical fixed wiring systems, PLC and drive systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, rotating equipment, pumps, and mechanical drive systems
