Lead Structural Engineer

Permanent Position

Location: London

Salary Range: £55,000 - £65,000 (negotiable based on experience)

Are you an experienced Lead Structural Engineer seeking a new opportunity? They are in search of a Lead Structural Engineer to join their team and play a pivotal role in the company's expansion while managing an exciting and diverse project portfolio.

Position Overview:

Oversee a talented engineering team to produce innovative, sustainable designs that exceed client expectations. Contribute to solutions addressing environmental challenges through impactful engineering practices. The firm has a robust pipeline of projects across various sectors, including commercial renovations, retail developments, industrial and logistics projects, and life sciences.

Key Responsibilities of the Lead Structural Engineer:

  1. Guide and mentor a team to achieve exceptional outcomes.
  2. Ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.
  3. Design innovative structural solutions for projects ranging from £100k to £150m.
  4. Collaborate with various departments to improve project results.
Qualifications for the Lead Structural Engineer:

  1. Chartered status with the Institution of Structural Engineers (preferred) or the Institution of Civil Engineers (considered).
  2. Demonstrated experience in team leadership and successful project execution.
  3. Strong expertise in sustainable structural engineering across various materials.
  4. Experience leading project stages 1, 2, and 3; stages 4 and 5 are advantageous.
  5. Aspirations to progress to an Associate role.
  6. Proven track record of managing projects valued between £10m and £20m through to construction.
