Teaching Assistant Job Description

Protocol Education is seeking experienced Teaching Assistants for long-term work in primary schools in the Borough of Haringey. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a range of classroom environments across Early Years, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess the individual learning needs of pupils and develop strategies to support their progress.
  • Positively manage challenging behaviour and create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Liaise with parents, carers, and other professionals who work with the children to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Supervise activities and provide support to teachers in planning and delivering lessons.
  • Work with children in small groups and on a one-to-one basis to provide targeted support and enhance their learning experience.
