Cost Assurance Specialist

About the RoleWe're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cost Assurance Specialist to join our Ireland/European Advisory business. In this role, you'll work closely with our clients to review and scrutinize actual incurred costs, driving supply chain improvement and efficiency for major programmes and projects.
Key Responsibilities- Review construction contractor systems, controls, and processes to provide a view on their ways of working, using industry intelligence to build a view on best practice.
- Analyze and understand complex construction contracts, including NEC3/4 and ICE Bespoke.
- Perform data testing and analysis using smart techniques and tools, such as data visualization and trend/pattern analysis.
- Foster good quality working relationships with clients and those being reviewed, built around trust and professionalism.
- Engage with the supply chain to take them on the journey of assurance and encourage collaboration at project/programme level.
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Previous experience or a sound understanding of assurance or audit in a construction, commercial, or accountancy setting.
- Contract management experience, preferably with NEC3/4 (Option C, E).
- Data analysis skills, with the ability to review and draw insights from large quantities of data in various formats.
- Report writing skills, with the ability to communicate complex messages succinctly.
- Professional scepticism, with the ability to challenge in a professional and constructive way to safeguard the completion of our services.
