Cost Assurance Specialist

About the RoleWe're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cost Assurance Specialist to join our Ireland/European Advisory business. As a key member of our Cost Assurance team, you'll be responsible for reviewing and scrutinizing actual incurred costs, driving supply chain improvement and efficiency for major programmes and projects.
Key Responsibilities- Review construction contractor systems, controls, and processes to provide a view on their ways of working, using industry intelligence to build a view on best practice.
- Analyze and understand complex construction contracts, including NEC3/4 and ICE Bespoke.
- Perform data testing and analysis using smart techniques and tools, such as data visualization and trend/pattern analysis.
- Foster good quality working relationships with clients and those being reviewed, built around trust and professionalism.
- Engage with the supply chain to take them on the journey of assurance and encourage collaboration at project/programme level.
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Previous experience or a sound understanding of assurance or audit in a construction, commercial, or accountancy setting.
- Contract management experience, preferably with NEC3/4 (Option C, E).
- Data analysis skills, with the ability to review and draw insights from large quantities of data in various formats.
- Report writing skills, with the ability to communicate complex messages succinctly.
- Professional scepticism, with the ability to challenge in a professional and constructive way to safeguard the completion of our services.
