About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Public Relations Account Executive to join our team at Climate17 | B Corp™. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for carrying out day-to-day account execution and administration, reporting to a Senior Account Executive or Account Manager as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out all support tasks as directed to execute strategies and activities as detailed by the line manager.
  • Ensure that the accounts worked on are well-organized in terms of time and filing.
  • Monitor and mount coverage, updating coverage logs and providing media reports.
  • Write coherent and factually accurate press releases that require minimal amends from seniors and clients.
  • Draft digital copy, including blogs, e-newsletters, and short-form social media copy requirements that only require minimal amends.
  • Be competent in all written communications, such as letters, emails, etc., both internally and externally to clients and journalists.
  • Play a part in new business brainstorms and an active role in new business targeting.
  • Liaise with clients at a junior level in a confident manner and build good working relationships.
  • Undertake media and administration desk research for new business pitches and current client programs as required.
  • Flexibility - capable of juggling more than one task/client at a time and prioritizing workload accordingly.
Requirements
  • Degree-level qualification in PR / Marketing or equivalent relevant experience.
  • A completed internship and/or work experience within PR with a minimum of 1 year's PR experience.
  • Solid knowledge/keen interest in PR.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and other Microsoft Applications.
  • Proficient in media database management.
  • Good understanding of the media landscape and how to place a story.
  • Awareness of client relationships.
