Defence Sector Project Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically competent Defence Sector Project Manager to join our expanding defence community. As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for supporting large-scale defence contracts and projects within our Defence Sector Portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of large-scale defence contracts and projects, working closely with the project team to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Manage day-to-day design team activities, including design management, risk management, and change management.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project success.
  • Provide commercial acumen and procurement expertise to support public sector business cases and framework-style tendering.
  • Utilize NEC3/4 PSC/ECC contracts, both pre- and post-contract, to ensure compliance and successful project delivery.
Requirements
  • Proven track record of successfully supporting components of large-scale defence projects across multiple RIBA work stages.
  • Experience of supporting design teams, technical disciplines, or general resource management.
  • Flexibility to travel with accompanying overnight stays.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to use and manage Common Data Environments.
  • Demonstrable experience of procurement and wider commercial acumen.
  • Some experience using NEC3/4 PSC/ECC contracts.
