About the Role

As a Lead Full-Stack Sitecore Developer at Digitas UK, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our digital landscape. You'll spearhead the development of cutting-edge websites and applications, guiding a team of talented developers to deliver robust and scalable solutions.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of Sitecore developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Architect, design, and develop sophisticated backend services and APIs, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with Interface Developers to integrate backend functionalities into intuitive and user-friendly frontends.
  • Work closely with designers and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions that meet project objectives.
  • Champion best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment, adhering to established coding standards and development methodologies.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members, promoting continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
  • Lead the integration of third-party systems and data synchronization between disparate platforms, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
  • Proactively identify and resolve complex technical issues, implementing effective solutions in a timely manner.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, identifying opportunities to enhance our technology stack and development processes.
  • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define project timelines, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring successful project execution.

Your Qualifications

  • Proven experience working with Sitecore CMS, ideally XM Cloud, including customization, configuration, and integration with external systems.
  • Strong understanding of backend development principles, including GraphQL & RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and database design.
  • Experience with systems integration, including third-party API integration and data synchronization between disparate systems.
  • Familiarity with frontend development frameworks such as React and an understanding of caching and security considerations in modern web architectures.
  • Proficiency in version control systems like Git and experience with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • A proven track record of successfully leading development teams on projects and delivering high-quality software solutions.
