The Role

The Mechanical Site Manager/Projects Manager will be the primary point of contact on site between the customer and the client. This role is responsible for quoting and delivering mechanical installation projects across the site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with stakeholders to plan and manage mechanical projects from inception to completion.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Coordinate with other departments to minimize disruptions to production.
  • Organise labour, order materials, and manage projects.
  • Generate costings/quotations for all onsite mechanical activities.
  • Oversee the installation of mechanical systems and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Lead, train, and supervise a team of mechanical fitters and fabricators.
  • Generate RAMs for installation works.
  • Manage the department's budget and financial performance.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Apprentice-trained in a mechanical discipline.
  • Experience in mechanical installation, maintenance, and project management within the FMCG sector.
  • A proven track record of managing mechanical projects and leading teams.
  • Experience in managing budgets and financial performance.
  • Excellent project management skills.
