We are a leading charity dedicated to saving babies' lives and supporting those affected by pregnancy loss or baby loss.

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to develop and grow our Befriender programme, working closely with our Volunteering, Bereavement Support Services, and Training Teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for the Befriender programme, ensuring it meets the needs of our supporters and volunteers.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of Befrienders, promoting diversity and inclusivity throughout the process.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure the volunteering function is integrated across all aspects of the charity.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including partners and suppliers.
  • Develop and deliver training programmes to support the growth and development of Befrienders.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the Befriender programme, making recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in programme development, volunteer management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse groups.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects.
  • Experience of working in a charity or not-for-profit environment, with a strong understanding of the sector.
