We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our mathematics department. As Head of Mathematics, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a high-quality mathematics curriculum that meets the needs of our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a mathematics curriculum that aligns with national standards and meets the needs of our students.
- Lead a team of mathematics teachers and support staff to ensure high-quality teaching and learning.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive education for our students.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local authorities and other educational institutions to ensure access to resources and opportunities for our students.
- Lead the development of mathematics SEND curriculum to embed across the group where necessary.
- Act as a Lead Practitioner for the group offering support and guidance to mathematics teachers across our schools.
- Work with our Headteachers to improve the Quality of Education across all of our schools.
- Support students accessing alternative education including the design of a bespoke timetable.
- Work with our specialist safeguarding advisors to ensure comprehensive safeguarding and personal development plans are in place.
Requirements:
- A committed and passionate view of students with SEND.
- At least two years' experience minimum of working in a SEND environment or similar unit/provision.
- QTS/QTLS.
