Job Opportunity

X4 Technology is seeking a highly skilled Embedded Software Engineer to join our team in a long-term opportunity with a leading semiconductor firm. This is a fully remote position with a contract opportunity to work on U-boot Development and porting to new System on Chip.

The ideal candidate will have experience in Embedded C low-level development, U-boot development, and bootloader firmware development, including BL2 and BL3. Additionally, exposure to Linux build, device tree familiarity, and peripheral interfaces is a plus.

  • **Key Responsibilities:**
  • Design and develop embedded software for U-boot and bootloader firmware
  • Port U-boot to new System on Chip
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless integration with existing systems

Desirable Skills:

  • Linux build and device tree familiarity
  • Peripheral interfaces, including ARM GIC and ARM Trustzone
  • Experience with SPI flash, MMC, SDHI, and USB
  • Clock tree and pin multiplexing
  • Hardware debug and familiarity with reading schematics
  • Use of oscilloscopes for debugging hardware signal verification
  • Tools: git, gitlab, JIRA, ARM TF-A, Yocto build environment, and Linux kernel debug
  • Programming languages: C, Python, and MISRA/static analysis
  • Strong test background
