The Client Growth & Innovation (CGI) team is pivotal to the Firm's expansion strategy, enhancing the development and performance of the Strategic Client Portfolio (Priority Clients Program). As a newer component within the Clients, Markets and Growth function, this department embodies a significant shift in how the firm manages and cultivates its most strategic clients on a global scale.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and dedicated Client Investment and Commitment Executive to advance and thrive within Ashurst alongside a high-performing team.

This role is newly established and requires an enthusiastic and dedicated individual with outstanding communication and project management skills to assist the Client Investment and Commitments Lead in creating the essential tools and processes for executing various client investment and commitment initiatives across the strategic client portfolio and broader client base.

This position will play a crucial role in transforming our client-centric account management in alignment with Ashurst's strategic vision.

Key Responsibilities

The Client Investment and Commitment Executive will primarily focus on proactively supporting Strategic Account Managers, initially within CGI, providing comprehensive support. This includes client engagement and service delivery activities to ensure efficient and high-quality execution of client-focused materials and project coordination.

Commitment Mapping and Documentation:

  • Responsible for investigating and documenting all commitments made and fulfilled for each of our Strategic Clients, as well as other high-investment client portfolios such as financial institutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including ASC, finance, pricing, Markets & Growth BD, regional Strategic Client Account Managers, and pursuits teams, ensuring timely and relevant data collection and documentation with meticulous attention to detail across various commitment activities.
  • Partner with operational teams to ensure all accounts adhere to governance processes regarding compliance and rate documentation.
  • Maintain up-to-date and compliant internal and public-facing information and relationship details.
  • Serve as the primary contact for all inquiries related to client information or administrative insights regarding client commitments and account details.
  • Conduct external and internal research, business analysis, and competitor intelligence to support client-facing meetings, pursuits, and proposals.
  • Collaborate with the Client Investment and Commitment Lead to identify and develop efficient processes for delivering on commitment requirements across our client portfolio.

Support for Strategic Account Managers (SAM):

  • The Client Investment and Commitment Executive will assist a team of Strategic Account Managers in driving investments and commitments on their client portfolios by providing comprehensive coordination support.
  • Act as a central contact for all client events and training coordination, including list development, venue arrangements, invitation drafting and approval, merchandise, and logistics coordination, working closely with ASC, events, and other business services teams.
  • Collaborate with central teams to compile client-facing relationship reports that include both financial and non-financial data.
  • Assist SAMs with day-to-day inquiries related to client reporting and billing.
  • Work with ASC reporting to ensure accurate labeling of matters for reporting purposes.
  • Support the execution of the Client, Growth, and Innovation team plans and activities.
  • Collaborate with SAMs, HR, and other stakeholders to facilitate the secondee process, including tracking and documenting secondee status.
  • Assist SAMs with pursuit opportunities, working closely with the Global pursuits team.
  • Contribute to central CGI team initiatives, including supporting new systems and processes, and the delivery of global projects as needed.
  • Brief relevant teams to produce client-specific outputs, coordinating content and liaising with the design and editing team as necessary.
  • Risk and Control: Ensure that all activities and responsibilities are conducted in full compliance with our regulatory requirements and internal policies regarding client information.
  • Maintain timely records on the CIC tracker for a holistic overview of client activities.
  • Assist with data analysis on financials.
