Job Summary

The Market Surgery is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Team Leader to join our team. As a key member of our nursing team, you will be responsible for leading and supervising our nursing staff, providing safe and effective care to our patients, and contributing to the development of our nursing services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise the nursing team, ensuring that high standards of care are maintained and that the team is working efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop and implement new clinical services and improve existing ones, ensuring that they are evidence-based and meet the needs of our patients.
  • Work closely with the practice manager and other healthcare professionals to ensure that our nursing services are integrated with other healthcare services and that we are providing the best possible care to our patients.
  • Recruit, train, and develop the nursing team, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge they need to provide high-quality care.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the nursing team, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Ensure that our nursing services are compliant with relevant laws and regulations, including the NMC Code of Conduct.
Requirements
  • Current NMC registration and a valid RGN qualification.
  • Experience of leading and supervising a nursing team, with a proven track record of improving patient outcomes and team performance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including the NMC Code of Conduct.
