Job Title: Finance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Finance Manager. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in helping us achieve our financial goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and delivery of medium-term financial planning, working closely with Senior Leaders and Finance Business Partner colleagues.
  • Coordinate the Council's annual budget process, ensuring alignment with Corporate and Service planning processes and key strategies such as the Treasury Management Strategy.
  • Develop and implement financial monitoring and reporting processes across the Council, providing regular reporting to the council's leadership and improving current processes to ensure they are fit for purpose.
  • Work closely with Finance Business Partners to provide insights to decision-makers and coordinate processes for development of financial mitigations.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in financial planning and management, with a strong understanding of budgeting and financial reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with Senior Leaders, Finance Business Partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
