Position Overview

SWIFT Temps Ltd Industrial Recruitment Division is seeking a dedicated Fabric Cutting Technician. This role is integral to our operations and offers a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the cutting of various fabrics
  • Contribute to the packing and dispatching of customer orders
  • Review production schedules to ensure timely fabric cutting
  • Create basic patterns and lay-up plans for production
  • Support the development of specifications for new products and update existing ones
  • Inspect and label all incoming materials prior to repackaging
  • Handle the packing and shipping of all customer orders
  • Receive and organize incoming raw materials
  • Conduct quality checks on incoming materials as needed
  • Perform stocktaking of raw materials as instructed
  • Utilize numerical skills and computer-aided design tools for pattern generation
  • Operate a walk-behind forklift, requiring a relevant FLT license (not mandatory)

Working Hours

This position requires a commitment of 39 hours per week, with an unpaid lunch break and two paid breaks:
  • Monday – Thursday: 7:45 AM – 4:45 PM (including a half-hour lunch)
  • Friday: 7:45 AM – 12:45 PM (no lunch break)

Compensation and Benefits

Starting Pay Rate: £12.01 PAYE

Holidays: 4 weeks (16 days) plus bank holidays and a Christmas shutdown
