Job Title: Teaching Assistant - SEMH Support

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to provide support to a SEMH pupil in a 1:1 setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SEN/SEMH and be able to provide a nurturing and supportive environment for the pupil to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 support to a SEMH pupil in a Year 5 class
  • Assist the teacher in delivering lessons and activities tailored to the pupil's needs
  • Develop and implement strategies to support the pupil's social, emotional, and academic development
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment
Requirements:
  • Experience working with SEN/SEMH pupils
  • Strong knowledge of support/intervention programmes for SEND
  • Patience, kindness, and a nurturing mindset
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing circumstances
  • Previous experience working with children with SEMH needs
