Job Title: Government Loan Officer

Thales is a leading international technology company that provides innovative solutions to customers worldwide. We are currently seeking a Government Loan Officer to join our team in Crawley, UK.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where you will be responsible for managing and processing Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) within our supply chain. As a Government Loan Officer, you will be the primary point of contact for GFE-related matters, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and process GFE transactions, ensuring accurate and timely completion of all necessary documentation.
  • Represent Thales in GFE audits and customer material audits, providing expert knowledge and guidance to ensure compliance.
  • Develop and implement improved solutions within the GFE supply chain, including the development of key performance indicators (KPIs) and process improvements.
  • Improve GFE accountability and transactional compliance, ensuring that all GFE-related activities are conducted in accordance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Provide administrative support to improve process effectiveness within GFE/CFE areas, including the development of procedures and guidelines.
Requirements
  • Experience of key Supply Chain functions in the Defence industry, including management of GFE in line with the requirements of DEFSTAN 05-99 and DEFSTAN 611.
  • Proven track record of delivering compliant processes and upholding Quality Assurance in all aspects of the supply chain.
  • Ability to manage and grow improved efficiency with the customer interface, including the development of key measures and gatepost activities.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and enforcing audit plans, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Understanding of Defence industry supply chain standards is essential.
  • Experience in working across varied functions, including internal functions and customer reporting requirements.
