Job Description

Job Title: Senior Planning and Control Professional

Job Summary:

Morson Talent is seeking a highly skilled Senior Planning and Control Professional to join our team. As a key member of our Early Careers team, you will be responsible for managing the PM&C processes of small projects or work packages, and supporting Project Managers with aspects of managing PM&C on larger projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the PM&C processes on small non-complex projects or work packages, and support Project Managers with aspects of managing PM&C on larger projects.
  • Supervise or guide one or two professional staff, and be involved in managing their delivery and performance, and providing appraisal and support to their development.
  • Have a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of PM&C policies, processes, procedures, and systems.
  • Have a comprehensive PM&C experience demonstrated in a professional capacity within a project.
  • Have a good knowledge and understanding of the Business environment for their project.
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of one or more PM&C tools, techniques, and practices.
  • Have a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the Business environment for their project.
  • Have experience of influencing stakeholders typically inside the company to achieve Business success.
  • Have a good understanding of the wider PM&C environment, and of developments and practices in the field.
  • Have a good understanding of own project/s, its markets, customers, strategic priorities, and culture.
  • Have knowledge acquired through job-related training and on-the-job experience with theoretical and practical skills.
  • Have experience of building relationships and negotiating outcomes with internal stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Application of related PM Competencies will be expected at this level.
  • Roles typically require a University Degree, or a substantial amount of practical knowledge gained through experience.
  • Incumbent will be expected to have a PM Qualification such as the APM Project Management Qualification.
  • Recognising the restricted nature of the work, there is a requirement for the candidate to be eligible to obtain Security Clearance for this role.
