We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Portfolio Services Manager to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a key member of our Business Management Organization, you will be responsible for leading business expansion initiatives, analytics, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a portfolio services playbook that outlines the role and responsibilities, processes, and procedures for the Network Portfolio Services Manager.
- Solicit market insights from business intelligence requests to identify portfolio expansion opportunities and business intelligence for the network portfolios.
- Coordinate resources at sites to ensure alignment on priorities and objectives, as well as cascading strategic projects among sites.
- Support multi-site business opportunities to ensure quoting process and contractual terms, working with global teams to ensure appropriate business allocation.
- Support sales teams on business opportunities, working in tandem with quotes, global teams, and portfolio services managers at sites to complete actions to ensure project wins.
- Help win business opportunities and enterprise opportunities that can be allocated to the Thermo Fisher Scientific network, supporting external partners' feasibility assessments, negotiation of partner quotations, and working with quotes teams on client-related quotations to ensure right profitability and timelines.
- Responsible for growth in business analytics, rollout of innovative dashboard solutions for product/batch revenue, forecast accuracy, service revenue, new business growth, change of scope, and strategic participating to business case generation, long-term investments discussions, etc.
- Accountable for the continuous improvement of business expansions across the network, supporting sites in target attainment and flagging opportunities for network growth.
- Bachelor's degree in science, pharmacy, business administration, or a related field from an accredited institution or 10+ years of equivalent experience in portfolio services, MBA preferred.
- 8-10 years of successful experience in project management (or equivalent experience), with strong skills in verbal, written, and interpersonal communication and problem-solving.
- Strong presentation skills and the flexibility to answer management questions, with the ability to prioritize and coordinate tasks across functional teams while maintaining attention to detail and drive problem-solving.
- Previous professional business development experience with the ability to negotiate and resolve roadblocks is valuable.
- Equivalency: Equivalent combinations of education, training, and meaningful work experience may be considered.
- Excellent knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) compliance.
- Commercial business orientation and financial competence required.
- Advanced negotiation and communication skills (both oral and written).
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Strong project management skills, including keeping client relationships on track and mending difficult relationships.
- Effective social skills, and the ability to collaborate with influence and motivate cross-functional team members.
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize multiple project deliverables.
- Advanced level of Microsoft Office programs and MS Project.
- Proficiency with the English Language.
- Follow all Environmental Health & Safety Policies and Procedures.
- Work harmoniously with fellow team members, modeling positive team principles and collaborating to meet project and departmental objectives.
- Carry out all duties within strict compliance to Patheon quality systems SOP's and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
- Maintain workspace in a clean and orderly fashion.
- Actively engage in and adhere to departmental systems in order to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow (visual management, scheduling systems, etc.).
