We're seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our operations team at our Edmonton facility. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a vital industry while working within a dynamic and collaborative environment.

The Role:

Reporting directly to the Engineering Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of our waste management plant. Your responsibilities will encompass both preventative and reactive maintenance tasks, ensuring adherence to stringent health and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting comprehensive electrical maintenance on all plant equipment, minimizing downtime and maximizing operational efficiency.
  • Responding promptly to operational engineering needs as directed by the Engineering Supervisor, resolving issues effectively and efficiently.
  • Collaborating with the Engineering Supervisor in developing and mentoring the skills of other team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Maintaining a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and procedures.
  • Supervising external contractors when necessary, ensuring that their work meets the required standards.
  • Identifying potential faults and implementing proactive measures to prevent future failures, contributing to increased plant uptime.
Your Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you will possess:

  • A Level 3 Qualification in Electrical Engineering.
  • Certification in the 16th, 17th, or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
