Core Responsibilities
Team Management
- Address guest feedback promptly and courteously, ensuring a positive experience.
- Identify opportunities to enhance collaboration and efficiency within the Front of House teams.
- Oversee the seamless operation of the night shift, providing support to the reception team and other departments as needed.
- Conduct daily briefings with the team, offering guidance, support, and essential information.
Quality Assurance
- Maintain extensive local knowledge regarding nearby attractions, shops, and amenities, with a strong emphasis on London.
- Uphold high standards of presentation for the department, products, and all personnel on duty.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and health and safety regulations, including the Licensing Act.
- Act as a representative for the General Manager, Front Office Manager, and Night Manager in their absence.
- Perform daily closing procedures and data backups for reception and accounting systems.
- Ensure safety and security within the hotel during night hours.
- Manage the orderly execution of nightly tasks, including daily account closures.
- Demonstrate proficiency with operational systems and performance standards.
- Contribute to departmental meetings, ensuring objectives are reviewed and documented.
- Assist the Night Manager in ensuring the safety and well-being of guests and staff during night shifts.
- Be well-versed in hotel emergency and evacuation protocols.
Financial Responsibilities
- Exhibit thorough knowledge of room types, hotel amenities, pricing, packages, and current promotions.
- Maximize occupancy rates and utilize upselling techniques to enhance hotel revenue.
- Support the Front Office Manager with departmental administration.
- Oversee follow-up on no-show charges, chargebacks, and outstanding payments.
Candidate Profile
- A minimum of one year of experience in a similar role is required.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a focus on team development.
- Strong communication abilities across various platforms.
- Adaptable and composed under pressure, capable of managing both routine and unexpected tasks.
- Exceptional organizational and planning skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with comprehensive knowledge of hotel operations and relevant legislative requirements.
