Mechanical Maintenance Manager

Service Care Solutions is a leading provider of industrial maintenance services, with a strong presence in the West Midlands region.
We are currently seeking an experienced Engineering Maintenance Manager to join our team, responsible for leading the Mechanical and Civil Engineering departments.
Job SummaryThis is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong leader with excellent technical and management skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of approximately 25 individuals and contractors, and will play a key role in driving reliability improvements and OEE.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management: Overall responsibility for the leadership of the Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering departments, including the ongoing development of the Mechanical Engineering Strategy and maintenance plan.
- Maintenance Management: Overall management of the Mechanical Maintenance department, including the review of maintenance data to drive reliability improvements and OEE.
- Budget Management: Responsibility for the Mechanical Maintenance Budget.
- Project Management: Organise and manage all planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring the highest level of productivity and reactive maintenance.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and manage CI projects across the department.
- Health and Safety: Support the HSE Team to maintain and promote a safe operating culture within the department.
- Operational Excellence: Manage and drive CAPEX and Operational Excellence projects across the department and site.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Production Operations, Senior Management and Suppliers to improve process and increase machine reliability and performance.
- Performance Management: Identify and manage Performance Management and Training Requirements of the Team.
- External Liaison: Liaison with external contacts and bodies, including suppliers, contractors and external agencies.
- Qualifications: Ideally Apprentice Trained or qualified to minimum HNC level in a practical Mechanical Engineering or Maintenance discipline. Additional Mechanical Engineering Degree is highly desirable.
- Experience: A minimum of 10 years' experience within an industrial manufacturing environment in a Mechanical Engineering role, with at least 5 years of these gained at a Supervisory / Management level.
- Skills: Excellent knowledge of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems, strong leadership and communication skills, and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Desirable: Previous experience of operating / working within a COMAH registered manufacturing environment, and previous experience within Industrial Manufacturing environments.
