Automation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Specialist to join our team at NYX Inc. as a Fixture/Automation Technician. This is a full-time position that will be responsible for coordinating, developing, implementing, and maintaining automation cells to improve ergonomics, throughput, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Automation Cell Development: Train for and setup of all secondary automation processes and equipment for assembly out of mold to box with fast speed, low cost, and top-quality.
- Process Optimization: Optimize throughput for each part and process from design to service life.
- Project Management: Meet the challenges as directed by your direct manager.
- Standardization and Optimization: Lead in the standardization and optimization for current and future state best practices.
- Process Control and Standardization: Adhere to the methodology of proper process control and standardization.
- Special Projects: Take on special projects as requested by your direct manager and/or the ownership of NYX Inc.
- Quality and Process Improvement: Participate in QPR as needed.
- Automation Fixture Trials: Responsible for automation secondary fixture trials and DOEs taking cues from PFMEA/DFMEA.
- Documentation and DOE: Develop and maintain documentation for secondary equipment and perform DOE as required by programs.
- Prototype Builds: Participate in prototype builds to detect quality, manufacturing, and assembly issues.
- Production Line Optimization: Maintain, through tact time studies, balanced and efficient production lines.
- Cell Layout and Design: Develop and maintain cell layouts for secondary tool build and plant/cell layouts.
Requirements
Education and Experience: Bachelors or Master's Degree or Diploma or 5 or more years of equivalent related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Technical Qualifications: Knowledge of CAD applications and blue print interpretation. Required ability to coordinate multiple complex projects simultaneously. PLC programming experience is essential.
Communication Skills: Effective and competent communication skills, written and verbal, for dealing with employees, customers, and suppliers.
