The Workshop is a dynamic organization that values innovation and excellence in manufacturing. We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our single-use product range.

Job Summary

We are looking for a talented Manufacturing Engineer to lead the development and implementation of new products. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate closely with Product Management, Design, and Production to ensure the successful execution of projects and delivery of high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement new manufacturing processes for single-use products
  • Research and evaluate bioprocessing manufacturing technologies and processes
  • Create technical documentation for products, including technical files and project design and development records
  • Design and develop prototypes for testing, working closely with Design Engineering to determine testing and process validation plans
  • Record and analyze data from product development testing, providing summaries and conclusions to the project team
  • Work with local and global validation teams to ensure products meet industry standards
  • Contribute to product cost and pricing discussions
  • Collaborate with operations teams to troubleshoot technical issues during planning and manufacture of products
  • Monitor and track progress within the team, reporting KPIs in daily meetings
  • Oversee and assess current processes and workflows, optimizing productivity by designing, implementing, and testing new procedures
  • Continuously evaluate equipment and processes to maintain high efficiency and quality standards
  • Manage the transfer and procurement of new production equipment, facilitating their introduction and supporting system integration
Requirements
  • Experience in the development of biopharmaceutical processing components and single-use systems
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and lead multidisciplinary teams
  • Qualification in Engineering and/or qualified by experience
  • Knowledge of ERP systems
  • Effective stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to work under pressure
  • Experience of process validation and validation life cycle is advantageous
