Job Title: Apprentice Customer Service Engineer

Finning International is seeking a skilled and experienced Apprentice Customer Service Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Marine field service department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and technical support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to customer service requests and provide timely and effective solutions to resolve issues.
  • Execute maintenance, overhaul, troubleshooting, repair, testing, and commissioning of Caterpillar and MaK engines, packages, and systems installed in vessels.
  • Work closely with customers to identify and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
  • Collaborate with the branch team to plan and execute service visits, ensuring efficient use of resources and optimal customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing exceptional service and support to ensure long-term loyalty and growth.
Requirements:
  • Formal apprentice training (NVQ Level 3) and served engineer experience.
  • Hands-on experience in safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ) processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical engineering principles.
  • Ability to work in high-pressure situations and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
