About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Clerical Team within the Rehabilitation Department at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As an Administrative Support Officer, you will provide reception and clerical support to our team, ensuring the smooth operation of our outpatient appointment service.

Main Responsibilities

  • Undertake general receptionist duties, including meeting and greeting patients and visitors, and directing them to the appropriate area within the department or hospital.
  • Assist in the management of outpatient waiting lists and clinics, recording information and making appointments.
  • Provide clerical, administrative, and information technology support to the Rehabilitation Centre.

Requirements

  • Basic level of education, including English and Maths, or equivalent qualification/work experience.
  • Relevant secretarial/administrative experience.
  • Knowledge of a range of secretarial procedures and software programmes.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • NVQ II or equivalent.
  • RSA II or equivalent.
  • Experience of using a computerised appointments system, such as the Camis system.
  • Experience of working in a healthcare setting and basic knowledge of the NHS.
