We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our Learning Disability Care Hub team. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will work with individuals with learning disabilities and complex psychological needs, providing a highly specialist direct and indirect clinical psychology service.
Main Responsibilities:- Develop and deliver psychological pathways for individuals with learning disabilities.
- Provide clinical psychology leadership within a multidisciplinary context.
- Conduct research, audit, and evaluation to inform service development.
We offer a supportive preceptorship programme for newly qualified Clinical Psychologists and opportunities for career progression. Our team values co-production and working alongside people with lived experience, promoting trauma-informed care.
About the Role:This is an exciting opportunity to work in a multi-agency team, collaborating with clinical psychologists, community learning disability nurses, occupational therapists, and other mental health professionals. You will have the chance to engage with our learning disability research hub and contribute to service-related audit, service evaluation, or research.
Person Specification:- Doctoral Level Training in Clinical Psychology or equivalent.
- Post-doctoral training or qualification in additional specialised areas of Psychological Practice.
- Experience of working with adults or children with learning disabilities and complex psychological needs.
- Knowledge of legal frameworks relevant to adults with a learning disability and autism.
- Ability to work autonomously and direct the work of psychology colleagues.
