Position Summary:

The Demand Planner I will play a key role in planning and controlling inventory levels of finished goods for warehouses and distribution centers. This position will analyze inventory levels, planned production, and sales forecasts to ensure accurate demand planning and minimize stockouts.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate inventory replenishment with strategic partners, including requisitioning purchase orders and interplant orders.
  • Monitor and analyze inventory levels to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Develop and maintain inputs to computerized inventory management systems.
  • Coordinate shipments to strategic partners, including drop shipments, replenishment, and lot management.
  • Review stocking orders with strategic partners for product availability and scheduled ship dates.
  • Allocate shelf life products for shipment to ensure compliance with contract minimum dating requirements.
  • Develop and maintain forecasts and adjust accordingly.
  • Communicate with marketing, manufacturing, and distribution teams to introduce new products into inventory.
  • Prepare and distribute weekly/monthly status reports on backorders, reagent planning, and other key performance indicators.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in inventory management, material planning, and distribution systems.
  • Familiarity with Demand Planning and Sales and Operations Planning processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, or Economics, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience working with products controlled by shelf life.
  • Proficiency with computers, including spreadsheet, database, and word processing programs.
