As an Electrical & Mechanical Multiskilled Craftsperson, you will become an integral member of our dedicated Electrical/Mechanical maintenance team, ensuring exceptional service delivery to our Water and Waste stakeholders.

Your Role

In this position, you will collaborate with Scottish Water's Operations Team in the Grampian region.

Located in the northeast of Scotland, we operate and maintain a comprehensive network of wastewater treatment facilities and pumping stations that serve numerous communities around Aberdeen. Daily, we process over 110,000 m3 of liquid waste, ensuring its safe discharge into the sea or river while protecting the region's aquatic ecosystems. Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for repairs, installations, and maintenance related to wastewater systems. Utilizing your mechanical expertise, you will address challenges for both our internal teams and external clients.

You will work closely with the workflow team to organize and allocate resources effectively. Whether responding to emergencies or managing scheduled tasks, your goal will be to ensure seamless operations while maintaining cost efficiency.

Safety is paramount, and you will lead efforts in conducting Risk Assessments to select suitable equipment and implement safe working practices.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must have completed a full apprenticeship and possess an HNC or NC in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience). A valid driving license is also required.

You should have a strong background in mechanical operations within a maintenance or engineering environment, ideally related to Water Networks.

Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor are essential, as you will engage with both internal and external stakeholders, providing updates and ensuring satisfaction.

Being adaptable to new technologies and systems is important, as we strive to keep pace with advancements in our field.

Health and safety compliance will be a top priority, ensuring all regulations are met.
