We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Maintenance Technician to become an integral part of our dynamic manufacturing team.

Role Overview: In this position, you will report to the maintenance supervisor and play a crucial role in maintaining the operational efficiency of our production facility.

Your responsibilities will encompass both planned and reactive maintenance tasks, ensuring that our equipment operates smoothly and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting routine and emergency maintenance tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement and presenting initiatives to your supervisor.
  • Performing daily assessments of workload at the beginning of each shift and ensuring all tasks are completed as required.
  • Collaborating with various departments to promote a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Working with a variety of machinery including saws, edge banders, and other mechanical components.
  • General fitting and assembly tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Completion of a recognized four-year apprenticeship is essential.
  • Proficiency in hydraulics, pneumatics, lubrication, vibration analysis, and alignment.
  • Strong fault-finding skills.
  • Experience in fabrication and welding is desirable.
