About the Role

Fleet Tutors is seeking a dedicated and passionate Science Tutor to join our team of experienced educators. As a Science Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting learners who require dedicated, in-person support to achieve their academic goals.

Our learners are situated throughout Surrey, and we are looking for a tutor who can provide high-quality tuition to help them succeed. If you are an engaging teacher or tutor with experience in supporting KS3/KS4 Science, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create lesson plans and deliver tuition that is designed to engage and inspire learners.
  • Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback to foster continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with learners' guardians/teachers to ensure their academic success.
  • Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and learner performance through our virtual learning platform.
Requirements
  • Must hold a Bachelor's level degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 6 months UK teaching/tutoring experience.
  • Must live and be eligible to work in the UK.
  • Must be willing to undertake a full Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and referencing process, as well as subscribing to the DBS Update Service.
  • A commitment to safeguarding.
  • Experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and other complex requirements.
