We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at WGM Engineering Ltd.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing mechanical equipment for various private client sectors and Scottish Water sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain, repair, and install mechanical equipment, including sewage pumps and valves, air blowers, screens, filter equipment, tanks, and tank bridges.
  • Work collaboratively with electrical, mechanical, and commissioning engineers to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Swiftly and comprehensively fault-find and rectify problems on a variety of mechanical equipment.
  • Assist in the response to reactive callouts and work alongside electrical engineers to investigate, rectify, and solve issues.
  • Participate in Risk Assessments, COSHH Assessments, and all related Health and Safety issues.
  • Interpret RAMS and prepare Task Specific Risk Assessments as necessary.
  • Work onsite and travel to and from site.
Requirements
  • Recognised apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Relevant NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
  • At least 2-3 years of previous mechanical engineering experience, preferably in the wastewater sector or industrial sectors.
  • Excellent technical skills and ability to work as a team player.
