Job Title: Hydraulic Systems Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Hydraulic Systems Engineer to join our team at RSD Technology. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating hydraulic maintenance activities to ensure the safety and reliability of our hydraulic systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement maintenance plans to minimize production delays and ensure hydraulic system reliability.
  2. Manage the activities of Tata engineering craft and contractors to ensure efficient and effective maintenance.
  3. Assist in reducing hydraulic oil consumption by minimizing oil loss and implementing energy-efficient solutions.
  4. Act as the senior responsible person for fluid power permits, including conducting 3-year reviews and assisting with training and testing of authorized personnel.
  5. Manage contract labor to perform maintenance activities during normal operation, downtime, or major stops.
  6. Ensure maintenance of CRP hydraulic equipment, accumulators, and components to maintain PSSR compliance.
  7. Manage work through the SAP system to maintain records of maintenance tasks and build maintenance history.
  8. Develop upgrades and improvements to enhance reliability and combat equipment obsolescence issues.
  9. Procure labor, tools, mobile plant, and equipment as identified by planned maintenance tasks or events.
  10. Review and author safe working procedures.
  11. Conduct monthly departmental fluid power audits and report centrally.
  12. Manage contract labor through PBS/CAT1 systems.
  13. Perform safety audits as per schedule and on time.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have detailed knowledge of hydraulic and pressure systems maintenance and associated legislative compliance, as well as extensive working experience in the same. A minimum of HNC level 4 or equivalent education is required, which will have normally been obtained through a craft apprenticeship in mechanical engineering or hold a modern apprenticeship certificate. Support will be offered in developing professional qualifications through an established internal development center.
