Job Title: Hydraulic Systems Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Hydraulic Systems Specialist to join our team at RSD Technology in Port Talbot, South Wales. As a key member of our Cold Rolled Products department, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and reliability of our hydraulic systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and improve the safety and reliability of hydraulic systems to minimize production delays.
  • Manage the activities carried out by Tata engineering craft and contractors.
  • Assist in reducing hydraulic oil consumption by minimizing oil loss.
  • Act as the senior responsible person for fluid power permits, including conducting 3-year reviews and assisting with training and testing.
  • Manage contract labor to perform maintenance activities during normal operation, downtime, and major stops.
  • Maintain records of all maintenance tasks through the SAP system and build maintenance history.
  • Develop upgrades and improvements to enhance reliability and combat equipment obsolescence issues.
  • Procure labor, tools, mobile plant, and equipment as needed.
Requirements:
  • Detailed knowledge of hydraulic and pressure systems maintenance and associated legislative compliance.
  • Extensive working experience in the same field.
  • Educated to at least HNC level 4 or equivalent, preferably through a craft apprenticeship in mechanical engineering or a modern apprenticeship certificate.
