Position Overview:

We are seeking a knowledgeable Flooring and Fabric Maintenance Engineer to join our reputable Facilities Management Company. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in floor laying, complemented by additional skills in fabric works and general maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Multi-Skilled Floor Layer, your primary duties will include:

  • Installing and adjusting fire doors
  • Constructing timber frameworks and structures
  • Repairing and replacing hardware components
  • Laying tiles and performing subfloor repairs
  • Working with concrete flooring
  • Installing and maintaining various types of flooring including Commercial Sheet, Altro, Safety flooring, LVT, and Carpet
  • Traveling to multiple sites for surveys and project completion

Additional Skills:
Experience in the following areas will be considered advantageous:

  • Plastering and decorative works, including the application of primers and paints
  • Brickwork and rendering repairs
  • General property maintenance

Candidate Requirements:
The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Adherence to safe working practices
  • A valid UK Driving Licence
  • The ability to assess project requirements and specify necessary materials and labor
  • Compliance with company policies and procedures
  • A strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work

Essential Qualifications:
Applicants must possess:

  • Certification in floor laying
  • Experience in hot weld safety flooring installations
  • A minimum of 5 years of flooring installation experience
  • Proven expertise in hot weld safety flooring installation
