The Engineering division at BDUK operates within a matrix structure, with specialized departments providing technical expertise to our initiatives.


This role will be part of the Product Support Engineering Department, covering essential areas such as Reliability Centred Maintenance Analysis, Reliability and Maintainability, Logistic Support Analysis, Engineering Data Utilization, Obsolescence Management, Technical Documentation, and Integrated Logistic Support Engineering.


Key Responsibilities:
- Apply RCM methodologies and techniques, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, to facilitate and implement reliability enhancements.

- Conduct RCM analysis within defined parameters, ensuring quality and compliance with timelines.

- Review and process change requests arising from maintenance feedback, failure investigations, and reliability assessments.

- Ensure proposed modifications meet established standards and customer expectations.

- Provide management updates on progress through KPIs and close-out reports.

- Implement and revise defined RCM tasks in relevant tools to strengthen reliability foundations.

Additional Opportunities:

In addition to technical duties, you will have the opportunity to support company initiatives such as quality enhancements, safety culture promotion, Diversity and Inclusion advocacy, mentoring/coaching, STEM outreach, and other growth-oriented projects.


Preferred Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
- Must be eligible to obtain UK SC security clearance.

- Engineering background with substantial maintenance/engineering experience.

- Knowledge and practical experience of RCM-2 or FMEA principles, practices, and applications, and/or MSG-3 methodology.

- Defence background preferred but not mandatory.

- Proficiency in risk and reliability management systems and techniques.

- Proven ability to drive first-time quality improvements.

- Understanding of Risk & Opportunity Management principles.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Word, and Adobe Acrobat XI Pro.


Ideally, you should hold a degree in Engineering or a related field with 2 to 5 years of experience, or equivalent formal training in Support Engineering principles.
