Electrical Field Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Field Engineer to join our team at DATS Recruitment Ltd. As an Electrical Field Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out electrical installation works on diverse projects ranging from £5K to £5m.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install LV equipment, including MCCs, control panels, distribution boards, and instrumentation, ensuring quality and reliability.
  • Conduct on-site electrical surveys to determine optimal installation methods, producing detailed reports with findings and recommendations.
  • Develop risk assessments and method statements for work packages, promoting safe and effective practices.
  • Supervise and mentor apprentices or junior engineers, ensuring their safety, standards, and professional growth.
  • Manage multiple projects, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines and maintain quality.
  • Act as the Competent Person, strictly adhering to Electrical Safety Rules and compliance.
  • Collaborate with software engineers to verify I/O functionality, ensuring all components operate as intended.
  • Provide regular progress updates to the EICA Construction Manager, addressing concerns, identifying issues, and exploring project opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Over 5 years of electrical experience in a medium to large organisation, with a solid technical foundation.
  • Valid UK driver's licence for travel to project sites.
  • Strong planning, organisational, and time management skills for efficient task execution.
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel for accurate reporting and documentation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of electrical installations and control systems, including control panels, MCCs, PLCs, SCADA, and instrumentation.
