Electrical Field Based Engineer

Our client, a leading organization in the field of technology, is seeking an experienced Electrical Field Based Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis in Grangemouth. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out various electrical installation works on technology projects, supporting site-based delivery and working alongside software engineers to ensure I/O is present and serviceable as required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out electrical installation works on technology projects, including modifications to control panels and MCC compartments, verification of IO and schematics, and electrical installation of LV equipment.
  • Conduct electrical surveys of sites, establishing methods of installation and creating reports to detail findings.
  • Contribute to and/or create risk assessments and method statements for packages of work.
  • Undertake the role of Competent Person in-line with Electrical Safety Rules.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years electrical experience within a medium or large organization.
  • Good planning, organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent IT skills, including MS Word and MS Excel.
  • NVQ level 3 in electrical installation or equivalent.
  • BS7671 18th edition.
Desirable Skills:
  • Knowledge of BS EN Power Switchgear and Control gear Assemblies.
  • Knowledge of BS EN 60947 Low-voltage Switchgear and Control gear.

The successful candidate will have a willingness to undertake an annual performance 1 to 1 review and attend and participate in all internal and external training courses. The role requires a good understanding of electrical installations and control systems, including control panels/MCCs, PLC, SCADA, and instrumentation.
