Associate Director Power and Utilities Transactions Expert

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to join our Power and Utilities Transactions team in the UK. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing strategic and technical advice to clients on corporate finance and corporate financial management, regulatory finance, regulatory policy, business and financial planning, cost assessment and benchmarking, and other areas directly affecting value.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain business relationships with clients, particularly infrastructure investors
- Target key investors in-line with our strategy and develop a pipeline of opportunities to support the growth of the Transactions business and wider P&U team
- Build and manage sustainable business relationships with investors and corporates
- Grow Transactions business in collaboration with other senior staff in the team
- Identify and recruit talent
- Proactive business development to identify new business opportunities
- Lead the development of proposals and support pitching for new business with ideas
- Manage delivery of several engagements of different size on a day-to-day basis
- Be responsible for the quality of deliverables produced for clients
- Ensure KPMG's quality and risk management procedures are adhered to
- Provide effective management, coaching, and mentoring of junior staff on specific engagements
- Develop, inspire, and empower team members in line with the firm's values
- Pro-actively promote our services both externally and internally
- Support the work of other parts of P&U and contribute as part of the broader management team
We are looking for an experienced professional with a good understanding of utilities and energy sectors in the UK, and experience of working on transactions in utilities and infrastructure. You should have a proven track record of managing teams, developing and maintaining business relationships, and securing further work. You should also have excellent presentation and communications skills, and be able to successfully develop and manage client relationships.
