About the Position
This role involves overseeing the training and processes for front-line branch personnel while collaborating with the Field Operations team and the broader Branch Network. You will play a crucial role in helping teams achieve operational objectives, ensuring compliance with shrinkage standards, and addressing significant operational challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Enhance PARC performance through collaboration with OSS and regional teams.
- Assist in the completion of audits alongside the OSS team.
- Provide data for PARC scoring.
- Conduct a 6-week OSS review to assess and establish new goals.
- Engage in biweekly evaluations with regional branch teams.
- Lead PARC assessments with Operations teams, setting clear targets for shrinkage and compliance enhancements.
- Ensure that training on operational procedures is documented and current in the shared repository.
- Review and contribute to the development of new policies.
- Maintain and analyze OSS trackers to optimize OSS time within branches.
- Oversee the execution of OSS induction plans.
- Ensure OSS team members are equipped to train in all areas, including cash banking procedures.
- Manage SOPs, ensuring they are updated and reflected in Pitstop as necessary.
- Drive branches throughout the month to ensure timely process completion for smooth month-end operations.
- Support the Branch Stocktake Management program.
- Assist in the stock cleansing initiative.
- Maintain a strong connection with the Profit Protection Manager, providing support for audits or stock investigations as needed.
- Collaborate with the Central Operations Manager.
- Offer frontline support for local branch projects, including new branch openings or relocations.
- Provide assistance on various projects as directed by the head of operations.
Working Hours:
This position typically requires working hours from Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts. The role encompasses the entire branch network, necessitating extensive travel and potential overnight stays.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate for the Operations Manager position will possess a proven track record in warehouse management, preferably within a dynamic environment such as FMCG. Key qualifications include:
- Relevant operational experience in a similar or managerial capacity, ideally within a multi-site organization.
- Strong understanding of branch processes.
- Excellent organizational abilities.
- Enthusiastic and capable of motivating others while leading by example.
- Able to work independently and efficiently.
- Exceptional communication skills across all levels.
- Proficient in IT, particularly in Excel.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Autopart.
- A valid driving license with the ability to travel, including overnight stays as required.
