We are seeking a talented Lecturer in Law to join our team at Bournemouth University, a world-renowned institution for inspiring learning, advancing knowledge, and enriching society. Our modern University campus is located in a region nestled between the New Forest and the golden sandy beaches of Bournemouth and Poole, with the World Heritage Site of Dorset's Jurassic Coast nearby. The Department of Humanities & Law enjoys a unique position as part of the Faculty of Media and Communication, one of the largest of its kind in the world.

We have a strong interdisciplinary focus in addition to subject-specific excellence in Law. Our BU Law Community and the Centre for Intellectual Property Policy & Management (CIPPM) are recognized as global leaders in Intellectual Property scholarship and Human Rights research. We have excellent support for research at all levels of the University, with a research ecology focused on mentorship and support.

As a Lecturer in Law, you will play a key role in developing innovative learning experiences for students in online, blended, and face-to-face delivery. You will have the ability to teach flexibly across Foundation Subjects, including Corporate Law and Governance and Business Law and Practice. We are committed to equality, diversity, sustainability, and embedding these principles in everything we do.

You will have a Doctorate in Law, or a Masters equivalent with the ability to create and disseminate knowledge at an equivalent level, or you will have the capability to convert this knowledge into a doctorate in a maximum of 3-5 years from date of appointment.

This position will not typically meet the eligibility requirements for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker Route within the UK Visa and Immigration service's, unless exceptional circumstances apply, e.g. meeting the 'new entrant' criteria.
