Our modern University campus is located in a region nestled between the New Forest and the golden sandy beaches of Bournemouth and Poole, with the World Heritage Site of Dorset's Jurassic Coast nearby. The Department of Humanities & Law is part of the Faculty of Media and Communication, one of the largest of its kind in the world, with a global reputation for combining research in the creative industries with teaching and professional practice.

We have a thriving academic culture in Law, centered around our BU Law Community and the Centre for Intellectual Property Policy & Management (CIPPM). We are recognized as a global leader in Intellectual Property scholarship and Human Rights research, with a strong interdisciplinary focus and subject-specific excellence.

We work in partnership with our students to co-create research and foster their ambitions. Our Law undergraduate programmes include a range of degrees, and we deliver successful postgraduate academic and professional courses. The successful candidate will play a key role at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, developing innovative learning experiences for students in online, blended, and face-to-face delivery.

The ideal candidate will have a Doctorate in Law or a Masters equivalent, with the ability to create and disseminate knowledge at an equivalent level, or the capability to convert this knowledge into a doctorate in a maximum of 3-5 years from date of appointment.

This position will not typically meet the eligibility requirements for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker Route within the UK Visa and Immigration service's, unless exceptional circumstances apply.
