Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sub Agent / Site Manager to join our team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting our visiting Director and on-site Works Manager in delivering infrastructure works for a major new housing estate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Coordination: Assist in the coordination of earthworks, Section 278 works, roads construction, new drainage, culvert installation, and other infrastructure projects.
  • Site Management: Lead toolbox talks, daily briefings, and site inductions to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Resource Management: Order plant, labour, and materials as required to support project delivery.
  • Health and Safety: Promote the highest levels of health and safety on site and ensure that risk assessments and method statements are being adhered to.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with stakeholders on public-facing projects and ensure that the company's reputation is maintained.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the civil engineering or groundwork sector.
  • Strong leadership and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with stakeholders and project team members.
  • Ability to read drawings and coordinate gangs to overcome design difficulties.
