Are you passionate about the outdoors and eager to develop your skills as an outdoor adventure leader? Kingswood is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an apprentice activity instructor.

As an outdoor adventure leader, you will have the opportunity to deliver a range of high-adrenaline outdoor activities, design and run your own sessions, and undertake external National Governing body (NGB) qualifications. You will also be responsible for ensuring all equipment and safety checks are conducted in line with company procedures and complying with our Health and Safety policy.

Our apprenticeship program offers a unique blend of practical and theoretical learning, with 80% of your time spent on the job and 20% in off-the-job training. You will receive a 500 sign-on bonus, free accommodation, and a competitive salary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-adrenaline outdoor activities using specialist equipment
  • Design and run your own sessions
  • Undertake external NGB qualifications
  • Ensure equipment and safety checks are conducted in line with company procedures
  • Comply with company Health and Safety policy

Qualifications:

  • English GCSE at level 3 or grade D
  • Maths GCSE at level 3 or grade D
  • OR NVQ or SVQ Functional Skills Level 1 or equivalent English (Grade Level 1)
  • NVQ or SVQ Functional Skills Level 1 or equivalent Maths (Grade level 1)

Salary and Benefits:

  • National apprenticeship wage: £5.81 per hour
  • Earn £10,982.40 in 12 months
  • Pay no NI or Tax contributions
  • Plus 5.6 weeks holiday
  • Rate increases to £10.10 per hour after 12 months
