Your role will involve the design, development, and testing of various mechanical components, systems, and machinery.

Applicants should possess a solid understanding of engineering principles necessary for designing products such as engines, instruments, controls, and machinery. Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in the field is essential, along with the ability to work under guidance to fulfill job responsibilities.

Working hours are typically Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, with potential flexibility to condense hours into a four-day workweek.

Compensation ranges from £40.00 to £45.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Our client offers one month of accommodation support, if needed, up to £400 per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Addressing REACH obsolescence within existing product lines, identifying areas of concern, and exploring suitable alternatives based on product specifications.
  • Supporting the development of design concepts, including conducting analyses with a strong focus on manufacturing methodologies and cost considerations.
  • Engaging in detailed design work and processing engineering modifications.
  • Overseeing all drawings and related project documentation.
  • Contributing to complex aerospace engineering projects across various scopes.

Essential Skills:

- Meticulous attention to detail in reviewing current drawings for REACH obsolescence and generating investigation reports.

- Ability to produce comprehensive designs and layouts that align with customer requirements and specifications.

- Responsible for the completion and verification of drawing packs and other supporting documents.

- Commitment to meeting project timelines and milestones while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team environment.

- Flexibility to adapt and extend beyond comfort zones.

- Experience in small component design, principles of design for manufacturing, and fine tolerance components is advantageous.

**Candidates must have the legal right to work in the UK and successfully pass all necessary background and security checks.**
