Job Summary:

IMH Recruitment is currently working with Leicestershire County Council to source a reliable Site Operations Supervisor to undertake site-based work focusing particularly on REUSE at the sites.

About the Role:

The right candidate will need to be passionate about recycling reuse and diverting waste from landfill and disposal routes into reuse.

The role will mainly be field-based, travelling to Recycling and Household Waste Sites (RHWs and WTSs). There may be some ability to work from home or from County Hall, but this is expected to be minimal.

The role is a supervisor of site staff across all the Council's waste sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise site staff across all the Council's waste sites
  • Travel to RHWs and WTSs for site-based work
  • Work with the team to achieve recycling and reuse targets
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Manage site operations and maintenance

Requirements:

  • 3 years of experience as a supervisor
  • 3 years of experience in recycling or refuse management
  • 3.5 tonne driving licence

Benefits:

  • Company car
  • Competitive hourly rate of £16.00
  • 37-40 hours per week

Working Hours:

Working pattern to be agreed with line manager based on 37 to 40 hours per week across 7 days.

Weekend work is mandatory, preferably 1 in 2, but a minimum of 1 in 3.

Overtime is likely to be available.
