Job Summary

The Quality Control Inspector is a critical role within Weatherford, responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in our products and services. As a Quality Control Inspector, you will be the guardian of our quality management system, ensuring that all activities are carried out ethically and in compliance with our policies, management system, relevant laws, regulations, standards, and industry practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality and Safety
    • Ensure that all activities are carried out in compliance with our quality management system, relevant laws, regulations, standards, and industry practices.
    • Identify and report any quality or safety issues, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Inspection and Testing
    • Conduct inspections and testing of materials, components, and assemblies to ensure they meet our quality standards.
    • Verify that instruments and gauges are in good condition and valid calibration.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping
    • Prepare and maintain records and documentation of inspection acceptance, rejection, and/or re-work requirements.
    • Verify applicable drawings and specifications are the current revision prior to use.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
    • Communicate quality and safety issues and concerns to management and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Previous experience in inspection of Rotary Drilling, handling equipment, Bottomhole Assembly, and Drill pipe.
    • Previous experience in inspection of Fishing tools.
    • Experience in reporting inspection findings.
  • Certifications and Skills
    • Holder of certification to ASNT level II in Magnetic Particle inspection.
    • Holder of certification to ASNT level II in Dye Penetrant.
    • Good working knowledge of company, customer, and industry inspection standards.
    • Computer literate.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education and Experience
    • Holder of certification to ANST Level II in Ultrasonic Inspection.
    • Holder of certification to ACFM.
    • Educated to Standard Grade level in a science or technical subject.
  • Previous Experience
    • Previous experience in the inspection of Liners, Completions, Well Services, Secure Drilling, Drilling Services.
