As we expand our operations, we are seeking a Metal Fabrication Specialist to become a vital member of our ACO Building Drainage team.

If you possess expertise in fabrication and have experience with TIG welding, we encourage you to explore this opportunity.

This is a full-time position primarily focused on working with stainless steel within the production team. The core responsibility of this role will be TIG Welding, alongside assisting in various manufacturing processes as needed, with training provided.

The ideal candidate will be a dependable and self-motivated individual capable of meeting established targets to fulfill customer requirements promptly and accurately. Familiarity with workshop health and safety protocols is essential, and adherence to these practices is mandatory.

Working hours consist of 39 hours per week, from 7am to 4pm Monday to Thursday, and 7am to 12 noon on Fridays.

Role Responsibilities

In this position, you will conduct daily inspections to ensure all equipment is correctly configured, free of defects, and that the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is utilized. You will engage with various materials, including stainless steel and aluminum, across thicknesses ranging from 0.9mm to 5.0mm, ensuring timely completion of tasks while adhering to health and safety standards.

Maintaining a clean and organized workspace is crucial, as is producing items that meet quality expectations and passing quality assessments.

Candidate Profile

To excel in this role, you should ideally possess:

  • Proficiency in fabrication and TIG welding (essential).
  • The ability to collaborate effectively within a team or work independently using your initiative.
  • A keen attention to detail.
  • The capability to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Experience in interpreting technical drawings.
  • A willingness to work in a welding bay within a production setting.
